Two killed in encounter

MATHURA: Two men described as criminals were killed in an encounter with the police near Daddi Gadhi village in Mathura district on Thursday. On the basis of a tip-off by the Haryana police that a group of criminals had stolen a truck and fled towards the district, the police chased them. The six suspects abandoned the truck after some time and tried to flee. The police opened fire at them and in the subsequent encounter two of them were killed while the rest managed to flee.
