Paswan lays stone for RSP expansion

BHUBANESWAR: Union Minister for Steel Ram Vilas Paswan on Friday laid foundation stone for modernisation and expansion of Rourkela Steel Plant at Rourkela.

This was part of ambitious plan of Steel Authority of India Limited to double its annual output to 26 million tonnes over the next three years, Mr Paswan said adding that SAIL plants were going in for capacity enhancement as well as modernisation and rationalisation of its production equipment and processes.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was also present on the occasion.
