Collector reviews land distribution programme

Correspondent

CHITTOOR: Collector S. S. Rawath on Friday instructed the tahsildars to keep ready pattas for irrigation lands allotted to the beneficiaries for distribution under the fourth phase of land distribution programme.

At a review meeting here, he asked the tahsildars to show the allotted lands to the beneficiaries. They were directed to allot cultivable lands only. Any irregularity in the allotment of lands to the beneficiaries would be viewed seriously and action would be initiated against persons responsible for it, he warned.

Sites were to be identified for construction of houses under the third phase of Indiramma Pathakam.

Joint Collector Rajendra Prasad asked tahsildars to identify useful government lands between forest boundaries and patta lands and initiate steps for their distribution among the poor people. District Revenue Officer O. Seshaiah reviewed mandal-wise progress made by the tahsildars.
