Cold forces closure of MCD schools

NEW DELHI: MCD Education Committee chairman Prithvi Raj Sawhney announced on Friday that municipal primary schools in the Capital would remain closed from January 5 to 13 in view of the extremely cold conditions in Delhi.

He also said that future vacations in municipal primary school would be re-scheduled considering the change in climate. The schools had re-opened on January 1 after the winter vacation.
