ALIGARH: The Aligarh Muslim University authorities have expelled 20 students from the rolls of the institution and imposed fines on seven students for the violence and arson that rocked the campus three months ago. According to an official release, “On the recommendation of the Discipline Committee, Vice-Chancellor P. K. Abdul Azis has expelled seven students for five years and eight students for a three-year period. Five students were expelled for two years. The University has also imposed a fine ranging from Rs. 1,000 to 25,000 on seven students.”
