SBT in final
THRISSUR: State Bank of Travancore (Thiruvananthapuram) defeated Muthoot ECC (Ernakulam) by five wickets and entered the final of the first Getech all-Kerala Twenty20 cricket tournament here on Friday.
The hero of SBT’s win was Chandrasekhara who slammed five sixes in an unbeaten 38 off just seven balls which saw the bankmen reach the target with three balls to spare. Earlier, batting first, Muthoot ECC made 198 for seven in 20 overs.
The scores: Muthoot 198 for seven in 20 overs (Sinuraj 72, Raiphy Vincent Gomez two for 23, K. Chandrasekhara two for 25) lost to SBT 199 for five in 19.3 overs (Ramakrishnan 57, V.A. Jagadeesh 49, Chandrasekhara 38 not out).
