Business professionals’ fest

CHENNAI: A three-day annual business professionals’ fest - ‘Samanvay-08’ - of the Department of Management Studies of IIT Madras will begin here on January 11.

The fest, with ‘Celebrating Synergy’ as the theme, will provide a forum for management students from across the country and professionals from the corporate world to showcase their talents.

As many as 400 participants are expected to participate in the event. Management consultant Gurucharan Das will inaugurate the event. Eminent speakers from various top business schools and IT companies will participate in the panel discussions and debates organised as a part of the fest.

Outdoor competitive events would form part of the programme on all the three days. Head of the Department of Management Studies L.S Ganesh said ‘Out Bound at Dawn’ would be held in the forest area and lake of the IIT campus. The competitions on the first day have been allotted for students from various colleges. The next two days have been set aside for the media/press and corporate sector.
