Woman shot at, critically injured
NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old woman was shot at and critically injured by an unidentified young man in Patel Nagar here on Friday.
According to the police, the young man came to meet Anita Arora at her house in the morning. He talked with her for a few minutes after which an altercation broke out. He then whipped out a firearm and allegedly shot her in the forehead. She was taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where her condition was said to be serious.
Anita’s two teenaged children, who were at home, were sleeping in their room when the incident happened. The victim’s husband, who is a moneylender, had left for work early in the morning and was informed over phone by the children. Ruling out robbery as the possible motive, the police said the entry was friendly.
