Woman succumbs to burns

Twenty-five-year-old Farida Begum, who suffered serious burns after her husband Jahangir allegedly set her afire at Humayunnagar on Wednesday, succumbed to burns at Osmania General Hospital on Thursday. Jahangir allegedly set her ablaze following a quarrel over a trivial issue, according to police.

Body retrieved

The Cyberabad police on Friday retrieved the body of 10-year-old N. Vittal Reddy from a pond at Mailardevpally. The police are suspecting that Vittal, a resident of Hasannagar, could have drowned in the pond while he was swimming.
