Liquor seized

DAVANGERE: The Excise Department has seized non-duty paid liquor near Kalpanahalli about 10 km from here on Thursday night. According to the senior officials of the department, a truck carrying aluminium articles was clandestinely transporting the liquor. The brew was stated to be blended liquor and meant for export. The truck was on its way to Chennai from Mumbai. — Staff Correspondent
