“Sonia not suffering from pneumonitis”
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi spent her fourth day at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here on Friday, with the hospital authorities stating that her condition was stable and improving.
“United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who is suffering from chest infection, is making steady progress. Her condition is stable. She has been advised rest,” said B. K. Rao, Chairman of the Board of Management of the hospital.
Denying reports that Ms. Gandhi was suffering from pneumonitis, he said: “She is suffering from chest infection and has shown no evidence of pneumonitis.”
He, however, did not say when she would be discharged.
