VIJAYAWADA: Chrifferson struggled to beat Ravindra Thomas 0-25, 22-7, 19-14 in the Krishna district-ranking carrom tournament at the Satyanarayanapuram Railway Institute here on Friday. The district team to take part in the inter-district championship will be selected on January 6. Other results: K. Chandrasekhar bt K. Babu 25-0, 25-0; Sudhir bt Appa Rao 23-12, 25-0; Shajahan bt R. SAI gymnasts shineThe gymnasts of SAI Centre at the V. P. Siddhartha Public School, who represented the Andhra Pradesh team in the 53rd National School Games held at Agra recently, won six medals, according to school principal Col C.V. Ramanaiah here on Friday. The medal winners: D. Naga Mallesh, K. V. Suresh, Hari Sai Kiran, V. Sri Lalitha and A.L. Sai Anuhya.
