CRPF jawan injured as rifle goes off accidentally
Srinagar: A CRPF jawan was injured on Saturday when his service rifle went off accidentally at Bakshi stadium here. Head constable Poshker Singh, who was injured, was taken to a hospital.
Army troops averted a tragedy by timely detection of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Bandipora district on Saturday. A road opening party of army detected the IED planted by militants on Sopore-Bandipora road at Manginipora, an official spokesman said. A bomb disposal squad of Army destroyed the explosive, he said.
Body found
The police recovered the body of a 50-year-old man, who died under mysterious circumstances in Baramulla district, a police spokesman said here. — PTI
