NAGERCOIL: Uneasy calm prevails at Nithravilai in Kanyakumari district following a clash between the Congress and CITU cadres on Friday night. Sources said trouble erupted during the unveiling of a name board, with the owner of the adjacent land objecting to it. In the meantime, representatives of other political leaders installed their poles and unfurled their party flags. The former MLA, Kumaradoss, who went to the spot, tried to remove the flag post of CITU. A verbal duel erupted between the activists of CITU and the Congress. Finally, police and revenue officials went to the spot and pacified the two sides. The police have registered a case and are further investigating.
