BANGALORE: The United States India Political Action Committee (USINPAC) is optimistic of “positive policy initiatives” by the leadership of the United States and India towards enhancing socio-economic and political co-operation between the two countries. The need for policy initiatives will be emphasised when a 19-member delegation of USINPAC meets some Union Ministers and president of the BJP Rajnath Singh in Delhi on January 7. Addressing presspersons here on Friday, Chairman of USINPAC Sanjay Puri said the socio-economic interaction between the two countries had improved after the nuclear deal. This had to be strengthened by policy initiatives that would bring many issues between the two countries to a logical end. The committee brings the delegation on an annual basis to India with an objective to enhance cultural strategic and business relations between the two countries. The fifth delegation, which is touring India, includes American business executives and entrepreneurs from IT, medicine, aviation and pharmaceutical sectors.
