Hari and Korchnoi split a point

NEW DELHI: P. Hari Krishna took a short 21-move draw with Switzerland’s veteran campaigner Victor Korchnoi in the seventh round of the Reggio Emilia International chess tournament at Reggio Emilia, Italy, on Friday.

With two rounds to go, Hari shares the third spot with China’s Ni Hua and Russia’s Landa Konstantin at four points. The results (seventh round): P. Hari Krishna (4) drew with Victor Korchnoi (Sui, 3); Ni Hua (Chn, 4) drew with Zoltan Almasi (Hun, 4.5); Vugar Gashimov (Aze, 4.5) bt Sergei Tiviakov (Ned, 2.5); Michele Godina (Ita, 2.5) drew with Mihail Marin (Rom, 3); David Navara (Cze, 3) drew with Landa Konstantin (Rus, 4).
