Janandolana in districts

Bangalore: A large number of senior Congress leaders led by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President M. Mallikarjuna Kharge on Saturday, left for the districts to participate in the Janandolana, a mass awareness programme seeking peoples’ support for the party.

Apart from Mr. Kharge, other leaders who left for campaigning in the janandolana programme in Kodagu and other districts were the Union Minister of State for Planning M.V. Rajasekharan, MP B. Janardhana Poojary, former ministers D.K. Shivakumar, R.V. Deshpande, the AICC General Secretary B.K. Hariprasad, and former MLAs Rani Satish, H. Vishwanath, B.A. Jivijaya, M.R. Seetharam and Dinesh Gundu Rao.

Two members of the Legislative Council, V.S. Ugrappa and Prakash Rathod, also joined them. Former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramiah went from Mysore to participate in the Janandolana in Kodagu district today.

The party workers and followers, who gathered at the KPCC office, raised slogans supporting the efforts of the party.
