Child tracking programme

BANGALORE: The Department of Women and Child Development will take up the “child tracking” programme under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). According to a press release from the Secretary of the department, Shalini Rajneesh, child tracking will include follow-up programmes in tracking the education, health and immunisation of children. Special attention will be paid to the tracking of handicapped children, the release said. The department will hold awareness meetings at cluster-levels and at village-levels.— Staff Reporter
