Truck runs over three road workers

RASIPURAM: Three road workers were mowed down by a truck near here on Saturday. Police said Ponnusamy (40) of Thimmanaickanpatty, Veeramuthu (30) of Ulipuram and Dhanapal (17) of Mullukurichi were killed on the spot when the truck, on its way to Raispuram, lost control and ran over them. Six others who were injured have been admitted to hospital at Rasipuram. The Namakkal district police have registered a case.
