Killed in accident

NAMAKKAL: In a hit and run incident, an employee of a private sago factory was killed when his motorbike in which he was travelling collided with a vehicle near Rasipuram on Sunday morning.

Police said that the deceased Varadan (35) was returning to Rasipuram from Seerapalli.

An unidentified vehicle hit his motorbike and sped away, the police said.

A seriously injured Varadan was rushed to Salem Government Medical College Hospital where he died.

Namagiripettai police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
