CHANDIGARH: The Haryana State Bharat Scouts and Guides bagged 17 awards out of total 20 at the National Jamboree held at New Delhi from December 27 to 31, 2007, State Chief Commissioner K.K. Khandelwal said here on Sunday. He said that the Haryana contingent, consisting of 1,809 participants, participated in the various events and activities. Mr. Khandelwal said that the artistically-built State gates were the centre of attraction and won the first position and the exhibition depicting the history of development of scouting in Haryana was also adjudged the best.
