Hubli-Dharwad
HUBLI: The Hubli-Dharwad unit of Samajwadi Party will hold a daylong dharna in front of the Hubli tahsildar’s office on January 10 to highlight the “failures” of Union Government and the previous Government in the State. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, president of the party unit Govindraj Harivan sought an inquiry by the CBI on the alleged irregularities during the Bharatiya Janata Party-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition rule in the State. He charged Congress, BJP and JD(S) with indulging in corruption and sought an inquiry from competent authorities on issues such as issuing of mining licences, ration cards and irregularities in purchase of bicycles.
