‘Recruit Kannadigas in Railways’
Staff Correspondent
DAVANGERE: A large number of activists of the Karnataka Hitharakshana Vedike (KHV) stopped the Kurla Express for 45 minutes here on Sunday, in protest against what they termed injustice to Kannadigas in railway recruitment. The protesters said that 4,700 posts had been filled up by recruiting people from Bihar, depriving Kannadigas of employment opportunities. Condemning the discrimination, the protesters demanded that the Prime Minister stop the recruitment process in the Railway Ministry and institute an inquiry.
