METTUR: A proposal to install ornamental and other lamps in the Mettur Dam Park at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh has been sent to the State Government for approval.

A senior official in Public Works Department said that the park had been attracting visitors in large number after its restoration works.

To make it brighter and beautiful during nights, the proposal was prepared and sent for consideration, he added.
