Alappuzha
ALAPPUZHA: A fire accident was reported from the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) Nedumudi telephone exchange here late Sunday night. Fire and Rescue Services personnel from the Alappuzha Fire Station immediately rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the flames when reports last came in. According to preliminary reports, an air-conditioning unit in the telephone exchange is believed to have caught fire. Lines cut offA majority of the telephone lines to the region, including that of the Nedumudy Police Station, were cut off due to the fire.
