Call for economic revolution

CHANDIGARH: The International Punjabi Chamber for Service Industry (IPCSI) has announced its programme to organise an international conference here on January 12, to explore opportunities in skills’ development, vocational education and employment generation for the youth in domestic and overseas markets.

This was stated by the IPCSI Patron and former governor of Mizoram, A R Kohli, while interacting with reporters on Sunday. He said that the conference which would be held to mark the 6th Annual Parvasi Divas, would be inaugurated by the Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal, while the state’s Chief Secretary, R.I. Singh would chair the first technical session. Lok Sabha’s Deputy Speaker, Charanjeet Singh Atwal shall preside over the afternoon session and the Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda would chair the special interface, “Haryana - Investment destination.”

Mr Kohli said that many NRI investors and entrepreneurs, domestic corporate, ministers, embassies, high commissions, government officials, educationists, HR developers and some international agencies were expected to be at the conference.

The State needs to usher a new revolution in its economic growth by developing the wide spectrum of skills and enhancing the overall personality of its youth,” he said.
