Hooda lays foundation for bridge

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday launched three public utility projects in Rohtak involving an investment of around Rs. 49 crores to meet the increasing demand of the residents of the town and its neighbouring villages.

Smooth flow of traffic

He laid the foundation of a joint bridge over the Jawahar Lal Nehru Canal (JLN) and Bhallot Sub- Branch (BSB) of West Jamuna Canal on the outskirts of the town to facilitate the smooth flow of vehicular traffic on National Highway 10.

The three-lane over bridge will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.61 crores within nine months.

He also laid the foundation stone of a Railway over bridge over Delhi-Bhatinda railway line near the MDU campus in Rohtak.The bridge will divert the heavy vehicles plying on National Highway 71A without entering in the town.
