Telangana Congress leaders to visit Delhi

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: A delegation of senior Congress leaders from Telangana will leave for Delhi in the third week of this month to meet the AICC president Sonia Gandhi with a plea to take an early decision on statehood for Telangana.

At a meeting held at the residence of party MLC Palvai Goverdhan Reddy on Sunday, party leaders decided to mount pressure on the high command to spell out its stand on Telangana. The meeting also opined that the talk of constituting the second States Reorganisation Commission to study the demand for new States had already become redundant.
