Plea to allow live bands in hotels, pubs

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Restaurant Live Band Association, Bangalore, has submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Karnataka asking the Government to allow live bands in restaurants and pubs in the city. The association said that if discotheques are allowed to function, live bands should also be allowed to do so.

Income source

Association members alleged that the police and authorities were allowing such performances in the outskirts of the city.

The association argued that the industry was a source of income to several people and that the Government should take care of the interests of the marginalised.
