Syed Anwar wins title

KARUR: Syed Anwar Shazuli of ICF, with eight points at the end of the ninth and final round, won the title in open category in the State-level chess tournament here on Sunday.

Cricket tournament

At Tiruchi, RKV Cricket Club, in association with RKV Constructions, will conduct a State-level invitation cricket tournament at the RKV Garden, Olaiyur, from January 13 to 19. Fourteen teams will take part in the tournament.
