Truck-jacking case solved

NEW DELHI: A case of truck-jacking was solved by the East Delhi police this past week and stolen goods worth Rs.32 lakh were recovered from the truck.

Working on a tip-off, the police cornered the vehicle near the Ghazipur border and discovered that the truck contained “gutkha” packets worth over Rs.32 lakh. The police also arrested three persons — Mukesh, Saurabh Thakur and Bhima — in connection with the case. All three are residents of Aligarh District. However, Kishan Thakur, managed to give the police the slip and a hunt is on to nab him.
