TDP to intensify stir against graft
Staff Reporter
Hyderabad: Alleging that corruption under Congress rule had reached its “peak”, Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu declared that his party would intensify its agitation against graft and take the issue to the people.
He told a press conference here on Sunday that a concrete agitation programme would be finalised and people would be educated on how “politics had become a business.” Corruption had become a “mania” and the anti-graft agencies like vigilance wing and the ACB had been weakened. He said the TDP opposed ‘dhanayagnam’ and not ‘jalayagnam’, he criticised the Government for failing to take action in spite of the Comptroller and Auditor-General (CAG) faulting the administration on the Yellampalli project.
