KANNUR: A Communist Party of India (Marxist) worker was stabbed and five autorickshaws were damaged in Kathirur, near Thalassery, on Sunday. The police said that a group of assailants, allegedly Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers, smashed windscreens of the autorickshaws in Kathirur at around 4.30 p.m. At around the same time, CPI(M) worker A. Prashanth (22), who was travelling in a private bus from Thalassery to Panur, was dragged out of the bus and attacked, the police said. He suffered stab injuries on his leg.
