Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has decided to open 6000 new anganwari centres in the State to benefit the hitherto uncovered areas.

“The strength of anganwari centres would be increased by 6000 centres in near future to provide succour to the areas which have remained uncovered so far,” Social Welfare minister Abdul Gani Vakil said on Sunday.

“The central government is extending all financial assistance to the state social welfare sector,” he said.
