PUDUCHERRY: The joint action committee of the Pondicherry Daily rated and part time Employees Federation has urged the territorial government to make permanent the daily rated posts in departments that have been in existence for more than 3 years. Addressing a press meet on Monday, honorary president of the joint action committee T. R. Seshachalam said this would help prevent backdoor entry of staff. He said the government should also make permanent the daily rated employees, who have been working for more than three years. The government, he said, must not create any more part time jobs. The committee has planned to stage a dharna on January 9. — Staff Reporter
