Preparatory meeting for ‘Empower IT Campaign’

To be held at Kalasalingam University on January 12

VIRUDHUNAGAR: The preparatory meet for students to participate in various competitions during ‘Empower IT Campaign’ will be held at Kalasalingam University on January 12.
The ELCOT has organised a student-IT industry meet at Tirunelveli on January 18 and 19, to attract related players in the industry for the proposed Information Technology park, the Collector, V. Chandrasekaran said in a statement.
The students of arts and science and engineering colleges in Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Kanyakumari and Virudhunagar districts would interact with representatives of information technology, IT-enabled services and business process outsourcing industries at the campaign.
On the occasion, several competitions, including paper presentation, group discussion, coding, elocution, essay competition, debugging, matheletics, web designing, software development and quiz would be held.
The preliminary competition would begin at 9 a.m. at Kalasalingam University. Final year students of colleges in the district can participate in the competition. Further details can be obtained over phone: 94433-89276.
