Lucknow: The severe cold wave in Uttar Pradesh claimed two more lives and pushed the death count to 51 this season even though the temperature showed a slight upward trend in the state capital on Monday. One cold-related death each was reported from Jaunpur and Chitrakoot districts, sources said. According to the Met Department, Sultanpur district was the coldest in the State with the mercury dipping to seven degrees Celsius there. The state capital recorded a low of 8.2 degrees Celsius, which was a notch above normal.
