“Loss of 42 crore man-hours”

NEW DELHI: An assessment by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India reveals that 42 crore man-hours are lost every month by the 70 lakh working population of Delhi and National Capital Region who take public transport to office and back. To curb this colossal loss caused by traffic jams during peak morning and evening hours, ASSOCHAM has suggested that the governments of U.P., Haryana and Delhi launch mass transport systems.
