KOCHI: Richard M. Stallman, founder of Free Software Foundation, will deliver a lecture on “Free software in ethics and in practice” at Union Christian College, Aluva, near here, on Thursday. Prof. Stallman will inaugurate the MCA building on the campus. Principal Varughese John said here on Monday that the involvement of the college in the freedom struggle and its unique role in nation-building created a suitable space for establishing a free software centre in the college. Highlighting the continuing efforts to support the free software movement, Dr. John said a centre for free software research and extension would be inaugurated on January 10.
