This Day That Age
Inaugurating the Industrial Estate at Guindy in Madras on January 7, Prime Minister Nehru emphasised the important place of small industries in the economy of the land and in the plans for development and said that industrial estates of the kind were of immense help in providing modern techniques to those in charge of the small industries. Mr. R. Venkataraman, State Minister for Industries and Labour, said “The people of this State and the small entrepreneurs feel happy about the establishment of the estate in view of the tremendous scope it affords for the development of small industries in India.”
