Sethumadhavan slams century

Coimbatore: An all-round show by K.R. Sethumadhavan (four for 40 and 104) saw host Coimbatore gain a 55-run first innings lead over Kanyakumari in the semifinals of the TNCA under-19 inter-district cricket tournament at the SNR Sons grounds here on Monday.

After bowling out the visitor for 159, the host, thanks to vital contributions from Sethumadhavan and Siddarth (77 not out), finished the opening day of the two-day match at 214 for four.

The scores: Semifinals: Kanyakumari 159 in 48.5 overs (S. Godsun 53 not out, K.R. Sethumadhavan four for 40) vs. Coimbatore 214 for four in 41 overs (Siddarth 77 not out, K.R Sethumadhavan 104).
