Boy killed in accident

A school boy was killed in an accident on the Old Jail Road on Monday. N. Abhiram, 5, a Std. II pupil of a school located near the GVMC office, was walking back home after school when the mishap occurred. The driver of a jeep, who was reversing his vehicle, did not notice the boy approaching and ran over him. The boy was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His father is a labourer. Three Town SI Pydepu Naidu is investigating.
