NEW DELHI: Describing the untimely death of Sameer Hussain, son of renowned beautician Shahnaz Hussain and president of the Shahnaz Hussain Company, as “shocking” for the family, Siddhartha Sengupta, public relations manager of the firm, said Ms. Hussain was under tremendous shock. “Ms. Hussain was shocked to hear the news about the death of Sameer and has been given medicines to make her sleep,” said Mr. Sengupta. Thirty-two-year-old Sameer, who had gone to visit his in-laws in Patna, was reportedly found lying at the bottom of the Maqbool Hussain Apartments on Exhibition Road on Sunday evening. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to the injuries. “We got a call from Patna on Sunday evening saying that Sameer had fallen off a building. A few hours later, we received another call informing us about his tragic death,” said Mr. Sengupta. Denying reports that Sameer had committed suicide, he added: “We don’t know exactly what happened. His body has been sent for post-mortem. Ms. Hussain’s brother Mr. Baigh has left for Patna to bring the body back.”
