THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Trivandrum Residents Apex Council (TRAC) has alleged that a section of government officials were trying to torpedo the development of the capital region. The district committee of the council, which met here on Monday, said that these corrupt officials were responsible for the failure to launch several priority projects such as the Habitat Centre, amusement park at Veli, the international container transhipment terminal at Vizhinjam, aquarium at Neyyar and the international convention centre at Aakulam. The meeting said the same lobby had triggered the controversy over providing land for the Indian Institute of Space Technology.
