PUDUCHERRY: The Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai has extended the date for diploma students, who have not yet completed their course, to appear for the Board Exams in April and October 2008, said a press release from C. Parthasarathy, Principal of Motilal Nehru Government Polytechnic College.

The additional chance has been provided to students who have exhausted the prescribed time limit for appearing in the Board’s Examinations in April 2007. Candidates admitted in the first year during the academic year 2001-2002 and candidates admitted under lateral entry in III semester during the academic year 2002-2003 can apply. The last late for receipt of fees for April 2008 exams without fine is January 29. The last date with a fine of Rs 100 is February 5, the release added. — Staff Reporter
