Advises them to channel energy in right direction

KANNUR: Governor R.L. Bhatia has called upon students to equip themselves to meet emerging challenges driven by information technology (IT).

He was inaugurating the silver jubilee celebration of Mambaram Higher Secondary School here on Monday.

Mr. Bhatia urged the students to make use of knowledge and other scientific developments.

Mr. Bhatia said the student community should channel its energy in the right direction and make maximum use of knowledge to nurture its potential. It should use the potential to serve society better, he said. Academic pursuit should help the students in all practical purposes. They should be encouraged to acquire scientific skills, he said.

A.P. Abdullakutty, MP, urged the school management to organise new programmes during the year-long celebration to improve the standards of the school that had produced good academic results over the past few years.

District panchayat president K.K. Narayanan, Collector Ishita Roy and K.C. Venugopal, MLA, offered felicitations. Mambaram Madhavan, school manager, was present.
