Bank loans sanctioned to trainees under REDP

‘As Hosur is located near Bangalore it offers immense opportunities for the services sector’


Krishnagiri: The month long Rural Entrepreneur Development Programme (REDP) on computer training to 20 women trainees conducted by CDS, Hosur in association with NABARD, Krishnagiri came to an end with distribution of certificates to the trainees.

Of the twenty participants, eighteen were sanctioned bank loan of Rs 50,000 each totalling Rs 9.00 lakhs by Pallavan Grama Bank, Hosur to enable the participants to purchase Computers and other accessories / set up browsing centres. Assistant General Manager, NABARD, V. Thirumalai exhorted the trainees to work with dedication.

As Hosur is located near Bangalore it offers immense opportunities for the services sector.

SEZ

Three Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are expected to come up in and around Hosur and the scenario is expected to change and throw up opportunities for the entrepreneurs.

As the programme has turned out to be a success, one more training programme on computers will be organized by CDS, Hosur shortly under REDP.

Chairman, Pallavan Grama Bank asked the trainees to work towards eradication of illiteracy.

Sanction letters

Pallavan Grama Bank, Hosur gave sanction letters in respect of 21 Revolving fund loans amounting to Rs 8.40 lakhs and an economic activity to Renuka Mahalir Sangam Sanamangalam with bank loan of Rs 5 lakhs and subsidy of Rs 1.25 lakhs to the beneficiaries during the function.

Awareness programmes

Awareness programmes for SHG members affiliated to Community Development Society (CDS), Hosur commenced on Tuesday. About 200 SHG members would be trained on various aspects of bookkeeping, time management, group dynamics, and availing loan assistance from banks.

The programme was inaugurated at Sericulture training institute, Hosur. Asokan, Manager, Pallavan Grama Bank, Hosur and Murugan Director, CDS, Hosur took part.
