Ground Water Authority’s plea

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Ground Water Authority (PGWA) has appealed to the farmers and owners of industrial units who use tube wells to register with the authority before January 31.

A release issued by the PGWA on Tuesday said the members of the authority met recently to take stock of the registration process and found that a few more farmers and industrial units were yet to register. The authority would request the Electricity Department to cancel the power connection to the farmers and industrial units who did not register within the stipulated period, the release said. — Staff Reporter
