Bajrang Dal demands anti-conversion law in State

Staff Reporter

Sangareddy: Bajrang Dal national secretary Subhash Chouhan demanded that the State Government enact an anti-conversion law in the State to curb conversion of Hindus, particularly those belonging to SC and ST communities into Christianity.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, he alleged that the rate of conversion has gone up under Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in the State.

He further pointed out that the Congress Government in the State and the United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre are hell bent on lifting the flood gates of conversion by allowing the SCs to maintain the same status even after conversion into Christianity.

He said that conversion of Hindus into Christianity has reached an alarming rate in Kerala, North-Eastern States, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
