Gadar to release book on Telangana

HYDERABAD: ‘Thiragabadda Telangana’ , a translated version of the English title ‘Against Dora and Nizam: People’s Movement in Telangana, 1939-48’ will be released by ballad singer Gadar at Press Club, Basheerbagh here on Wednesday.

The Telugu translation by I. Thirumali, Professor of Delhi University, dwells on the manner in which the traditional landlords of Telangana transformed into modern type doras, armed with social and economic power. But their triumph was challenged by the artisans, services castes, nomads and tribes, according to a release.
